The Vanishing Work – Retirement Threshold

Hosted by Dan Veto, CSA

Workshop Instructor

The traditional notion of retirement was the elimination of paid work in one’s life. More recently new terms like “semi-retired” and “partially retired” have emerged and we hear of people returning to work after “failing retirement”. Why is this happening? What should we learn from this dynamic and what might it mean for our own lives?

Having a successful retirement isn’t necessarily easy. Retirement isn’t simply being on vacation. We’ll examine strategies for effectively navigating all stages of the work-retirement transition.  You’ll gain vital insight into crucial steps that might be missing in your existing retirement plan. Importantly, you will have an improved understanding of how to revise your existing plan to better reflect your personal situation and more fully satisfy your retirement needs and expectations.

In this workshop Dan will detail:

  • What Work and Retirement mean Today
  • How to understand different approaches to having a Good Retirement (and what that even means to you)
  • Ways to Set Yourself Up for a successful retirement
  • How to find the Right Approach to your own retirement
